After your ticket

Florida Law requires that your election be made within 30 days from the day you received the ticket: - Plead guilty, pay the fine, accept the points and risk action against your license or higher insuance costs, or - Plead not guilt and make arrangements with the court to set up a court date before a judge, or - Elect a traffic school option and pay the fine, but get no points or adjudication on your record Even if you feel you deserved the ticket, you can still choose to attend traffic school. Complete the course on your schedule and study when you want to. The course may be 4 hours long, but you don't have to do it all at once (unless you want to).
